Profiles at Midas
The profile at Midas were very challenging and interesting.
After a couple of initial training and on job training I was given 2 different profiles.
1) Testing: I was new to Linux and with various RedHat Linux versions like RH7 RHEL CentOS etc. My team was responsible for testing various EMS and NMS applications running in Linux platform. We have got exposure to various telecom switching, wireless and networking technologies as well.
2) TAC : Provide 24*7 technical Support from Midas world class Technical Assistance Cell (midas_tac) to customers in India and abroad viz, phone / internet with bug tracking system.
We handled Customers abroad: Simbatel(Congo Africa), Bhutan Telecom, Suntel etc...
In India various customers and manufacturers like BSNL, MTNL, ITI, HFCL etc.
Midas's corporate office is located in Kalyani Nagar - Kottivakkom Chennai. They have their core developement team at Technology Center (Midas R&D team) in Neelankarai Chennai and IIT-Madras.
